Spec Sheet

How heavy is it? Each of the three panels weighs approximately 23 lbs. The total weight is approximately 70 lbs.

How big is it? The top opening of the Delta Firepit is 33” x 33” x 33” and each panel is approximately 34” x 18”.

How long does it take to put together? It takes less than 1-minute to put the Delta Firepit together.

How flat is it when stored? When stored, the Delta Firepit is about a half inch thick – small enough to fit in your car truck, closet or garage nook.

How does it go together? Here’s a 30-second video demonstrating how to put together the Delta firepit. The two panels with slots in them go together first. The small slots are aligned and the panels slide together to the ground. Next, the third panel which does not have any slots, is slid into the other two panels all the way to the ground. Some slight adjustment may be needed to ensure the firepit is sitting squarely on the ground. You can see an assembly video above.

Can one person put it together? Yep! It may take a little longer than 20 seconds for one person to assemble the Delta Firepit, but it most certainly can be assembled or disassembled by one person.

Does the firepit get hot? Absolutely! We don’t recommend touching the firepit when there are flaming logs or embers in the firepit.

How many logs can it fit? Using standard 18” cord wood you can burn 3-5 logs. Using a pre-packaged bundle of wood from Home Depot or Lowes, you can usually fit the entire bundle.

How thick is the steel? 3/16”

Is there a warranty? Yes, each Delta Firepit comes with a 90-day limited warranty.

Can I repaint if it gets damaged? Yes, please email for a touch-up paint kit for your firepit.

Is there any normal wear and tear? Yes, the internal paint is expected to become discolored after use. The paint on the outside of the fire pit should remain black,, but will also get scratched and wear over time. Depending on wood loading, you may experience some slight bowing of the firepit inwards or outwards due to the heating and cooling of the firepit.

How do I clean it? Once cooled, a rag and water can be used to clean the firepit. It is normal for the inside of the firepit to discolor after use.

What is meant by patina? If you select our natural steel option, the steel will patina or change color over time as it exposed to fire as well as the outdoor elements. This will first cause some “rainbowing” and then an autumn color to begin to cover the firepit over time. This will help to protect the steel over time as well.

Where should I use my firepit? Do not use your Delta Firepit on a combustible surface without using an approved firepit pad underneath. When using the natural steel Delta Firepit, the patina process can cause some staining to the surface below if the firepit is rained on.

My family loves ours, especially that we can slide it apart and put it away neatly in the garage when we aren't using it. Takes up now space. Thumbs up.

Purchased my Delta with the carrying case, which is a must-have IN MY OPINION! Helps keep the ash from getting in my garage and in my car when it is time to pack it up. Firepit itself works great.

Got and used ours the first time at an outside (mostly social-distanced) reunion and it was a total hit. Super easy to put together. I asked the people at MF Fire about how fast it cools down. Not in the manual, but if you slide the panels apart and let the ashes go on the ground (or put them in a metal container), the panels can lay flat on the ground and cool down fast. My firepit was cool enough for the carrying in 20-30 minutes. Pretty great all around.

I received and put my Delta firepit together today. It turned out amazing!!

Got it delivered by FedEx earlier than expected, to Canada I might add. It was super easy to assemble, and looks amazing even without a fire going! Completed the ground area yesterday and had our first fire last night. It burns super well, throws off some night heat and the effect of the side cutouts is super cool when it is dark out. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

I have been using the Delta Firepit for over a year now and I'm very impressed with it. It has been outside ever since I got it with no cover or any protection from the elements. The paint and overall integrity of the firepit is holding up great. I owned a different firepit before this one, and within the same timeframe it was already rusting. The Delta has shown no signs of this. One of the best features of this firepit is the ability to store it and move it easily. We went away for a weekend last fall and knew the house we were staying at did not have a firepit. I was able to break down the Delta, lay the pieces on top of eachother in the bed of the truck while taking up minimal room. I've had no issues with burning in this firepit. If you are in the market for a new firepit, I highly suggest this product.

We had a firepit we bought at home depot and it rusted through in less than a year. I was about to start building my own in ground firepit when my neighbor sent me a link to the Delta. I was still skeptical but then some of the reviews on here mentioned it was made of "thick steel" so I decided to take a shot. Needless to say I love it. Not only is the design genius, but the three pieces are made of (I think) 1/4" steel. I think you could throw this thing out the window of your car and not have any damage to it. That's a compliment. I took some pictures of ours I wish I could upload onto here, but it is very cool.

Our Delta is great. We have set it up in our backyard twice now this summer. It is super easy to set out and put away. Already got my nephew to buy one too.

My husband saw this fire pit online and bought it. We hadn't seen anything like it before and used it at our neighborhood block party for the first time. The design is so clever it took a few seconds to figure out which way to slide the pieces together, but we got that squared away. It goes together and comes apart very easy. We actually just ordered a second one for my brother in-law.

Love it. The design is genius and could not be cooler. It fits in the back of our car under our camping stuff and we set up it when our campsite doesn't have a decent fire pit. It is a little more expensive than some other cheap fire pits, but it is worth it because it is durable and isn't so bulky.

It was so easy to get a fire going in our fire pit. We used a little bit of cardboard and some sticks to get it going and then added some logs on top right afterwards and kept it blazing hot for hours. We made s'mores on it and it was really cool. I emailed MF Fire about a grill top and they said they will be coming out with one soon which will be awesome. The design couldn't be better either. The way it fits together is SO COOL. We are very satisfied with our fire pit!!!

I am so glad we spent the extra money on this over a regular fire pit. Not only does it look cool, but it is so nice to be able to put it in my shed the next morning.

We also got to test the firepit before its release to the market and we love it! Unlike other chintzy firepits, the Delta is made of thick steel that will last a long time. The coolest thing is that it can be broken down and moved around easily. It burns great too. I would recommend this firepit to anyone who is considering it.

This is awesome. I was able to preview and test this product prior to its initial release and we took it camping with us. We love it!
